Putin to roll Obama on European Missile Defense

Russia's Foreign Ministry says the system is aimed against the country's intercontinental ballistic missiles. Medvedev in August vowed a ``military response'' if the shield goes ahead.

The U.S. may soften its position on the missile shield, though this became more difficult when Poland agreed in August to host 10 U.S. interceptor missiles, said Nina Khrushcheva, an associate professor at The New School for General Studies in New York and great-granddaughter of the late Soviet Leader Nikita Khrushchev.

``Obama, unlike McCain, has the potential to start a new, less-militant conversation with the Russians,'' she said by e- mail. ``But this change can't happen unless Russia also becomes less stubborn.''

What's really going on: Now Putin wants to place missiles on the EU border with targets in Europe to gain leverage on his new oil market. Certainly Obama will fold up and walk away. Obama will probably ignore a takeover of Taiwan as well as surrender of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to the Reds.....

Louisiana Police Chief resigns after letting drunk Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price escape DUI charges

New Orleans Causeway Police Chief Felix Loicano has resigned. The move comes after Mandeville Mayor Eddie Price drove through a toll booth barricade and admitted he had been drinking but was not tested for drunk driving.

Loicano's resignation was announced Tuesday at a meeting of the Causeway Commission in Metairie.

The commission was poised later in the meeting to consider an appeal by Sergeant Chris Dupont, who was demoted to corporal by Loicano following the police chief's investigation of the incident involving Price.

Dupont, the ranking officer at the scene when Price was stopped on the bridge on April 23, said through his attorney last week that he felt pressure from Loicano to let Price go even though he knew "something was wrong with the mayor."

Now, it has been reported that other local police officers have let Mr. Price off in the past.

Two French students were tortured and killed in London in one's apartment.

Police believe two French students living in Britain who were bound up and brutally murdered may have been tortured for their bank details in a bungled robbery.

Detectives are now following a 'strong line if inquiry' that Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez, both 23, were killed in a robbery that escalated into a horrific double-murder.

It is thought they could have been tortured for hours so that they would give up PIN numbers to their bank and credit cards.

The theory has gathered pace with the discovery by detectives that two mobile phones and two new Sony PSP games consoles had been stolen from Mr Bonomo's flat.

Myth : Gun Control Has Reduced The Crime Rates In Other Countries

1. Fact: The murder rates in many nations (such as England) were ALREADY LOW BEFORE enacting gun control. Thus, their restrictive laws cannot be credited with lowering their crime rates.¹

2. Fact: Gun control has done nothing to keep crime rates from rising in many of the nations that have imposed severe firearms restrictions.
* Australia: Readers of the USA Today newspaper discovered in 2002 that, "Since Australia's 1996 laws banning most guns and making it a crime to use a gun defensively, armed robberies rose by 51%, unarmed robberies by 37%, assaults by 24% and kidnappings by 43%. While murders fell by 3%, manslaughter rose by 16%."²
* Canada: After enacting stringent gun control laws in 1991 and 1995, Canada has not made its citizens any safer. "The contrast between the criminal violence rates in the United States and in Canada is dramatic," says Canadian criminologist Gary Mauser in 2003. "Over the past decade, the rate of violent crime in Canada has increased while in the United States the violent crime rate has plummeted." ³
* England: According to the BBC News, handgun crime in the United Kingdom rose by 40% in the two years after it passed its draconian gun ban in 1997.⁴
* Japan: One newspaper headline says it all: Police say "Crime rising in Japan, while arrests at record low."⁵

3. Fact: British citizens are now more likely to become a victim of crime than are people in the United States:

* In 1998, a study conducted jointly by statisticians from the U.S. Department of Justice and the University of Cambridge in England found that most crime is now worse in England than in the United States.

* "You are more likely to be mugged in England than in the United States," stated the Reuters news agency in summarizing the study. "The rate of robbery is now 1.4 times higher in England and Wales than in the United States, and the British burglary rate is nearly double America's."⁶ The murder rate in the United States is reportedly higher than in England, but according to the DOJ study, "the difference between the [murder rates in the] two countries has narrowed over the past 16 years."⁷

* The United Nations confirmed these results in 2000 when it reported that the crime rate in England is higher than the crime rates of 16 other industrialized nations, including the United States.⁸

4. Fact: British authorities routinely underreport crime statistics. Comparing statistics between different nations can be quite difficult since foreign officials frequently use different standards in compiling crime statistics.
* The British media has remained quite critical of authorities there for "fiddling" with crime data. Consider some of the headlines in their papers: "Crime figures a sham, say police,"⁹ "Police are accused of fiddling crime data,"¹⁰ and "Police figures under-record offences by 20 percent."¹¹
* British police have also criticized the system because of the "widespread manipulation" of crime data:
a. "Officers said that pressure to convince the public that police were winning the fight against crime had resulted in a long list of ruses to 'massage' statistics."¹²
b. Sgt. Mike Bennett says officers have become increasingly frustrated with the practice of manipulating statistics. "The crime figures are meaningless," he said. "Police everywhere know exactly what is going on."¹³
c. According to The Electronic Telegraph, "Officers said the recorded level of crime bore no resemblance to the actual amount of crime being committed."¹⁴
* Underreporting crime data: "One former Scotland Yard officer told The Telegraph of a series of tricks that rendered crime figures 'a complete sham.' A classic example, he said, was where a series of homes in a block flats were burgled and were regularly recorded as one crime. Another involved pickpocketing, which was not recorded as a crime unless the victim had actually seen the item being stolen."¹⁵
* Underreporting murder data: British crime reporting tactics keep murder rates artificially low. "Suppose that three men kill a woman during an argument outside a bar. They are arrested for murder, but because of problems with identification (the main witness is dead), charges are eventually dropped. In American crime statistics, the event counts as a three-person homicide, but in British statistics it counts as nothing at all. 'With such differences in reporting criteria, comparisons of U.S. homicide rates with British homicide rates is a sham,' [a 2000 report from the Inspectorate of Constabulary] concludes."¹⁶

5. Fact: The United States has experienced far fewer TOTAL MURDERS than Europe does over the last 70 years. In trying to claim that gun-free Europe is more peaceful than America, gun control advocates routinely ignore the overwhelming number of murders that have been committed in Europe.

* Over the last 70 years, Europe has averaged about 400,000 murders per year, when one includes the murders committed by governments against mostly unarmed people.¹⁷ That murder rate is about 16 times higher than the murder rate in the U.S.¹⁸

* Why hasn't the United States experienced this kind of government oppression? Many reasons could be cited, but the Founding Fathers indicated that an armed populace was the best way of preventing official brutality. Consider the words of James Madison in Federalist 46:
Let a regular army, fully equal to the resources of the country, be formed; and let it be entirely at the devotion of the federal government; still it would not be going too far to say, that the State governments, with the people on their side, would be able to repel the danger . . . a militia amounting to near half a million of citizens with arms in their hands.¹⁹

My opinion:

Handguns are illegal in Great Britain...so, the criminals know that they just have to overpower you and then they can dispense with you as they wish. So, your average English citizen has to fight for his life and cannot protect himself and his family when the crackheads coming intruding. Now, if you are the Prime Minister, you have armed guards around you all the time. You see, in England, only the super rich or the government has access to guns for protection. So, if you live in England, just scream away, and hope that someone comes to your aid before the slasher finishes his job.

In America, criminals think twice about kicking a door in, because they may get their fucking heads blown off by some grandma.

Texas hero walks, Popped caps on 2 burglars in Houston

In Houston, a grand jury on Monday refused to indict a 62-year-old man who fatally shot two burglars last November as they fled his neighbor’s house.

In a case that raised questions of ethnic bias, self-defense and property rights, the jury rejected charges against the man, Joe Horn, who is white. Both victims were illegal immigrants from Colombia.

The Texas Penal Code allows the use of deadly force if the “actor reasonably believes the deadly force is immediately necessary.” Deadly force can also be used to protect property when “the other is fleeing immediately after committing burglary.”

My opinion:

Another instance where a private citizen exercises his second amendment rights to protect himself, his family, his property, or that of his neighbor. These wetbacks in Columbia would have been killed in their own country for the same offense. Hell, drunk driving used to carry a hanging offense in San Salvador, probably still does.

By the way, in Louisiana, if someone breaks into your home, or tries to steal your car from you, you can kill them.

What this says to me: Society will not make laws so that an honest citizen cannot protect himself from the lawless (except in Chicago and Washington, DC, two cities which are controlled by black voters, who really need more guns to protect themselves against criminals).

California Allows Wildfires Causing Global Warming: Where is the fight to the death?

More than 1,400 wildfires are still burning in Northern California, and there isn't much relief in sight for weary firefighters.

My opinion:

Millions of pounds of carbon dioxide and pollutants are being released into atmosphere, as I write??? Why is this happening? California is being negligent in it's "wildfire prevention policy." It is my opinion that a Blue-Ribbon panel of international (read Cuba, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe) environmentalists should take immediate control of all California forests (with the requisite blue-helmeted UN troops).

Where are the liberals with the bucket brigades? Where are the bake sales? Why aren't the liberal global warming mongers preventing these fires? Where are the California laws which require that NO FIRES OCCUR in California. ALL BBQ's must be put out.

According to Envirozine (Environment Canada's on line magazine) a forest fire involving primarily conifers will produce approximately 13 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide for each hectacre (2.7 acres) burned.

About 1,420 fires were burning more than 356,134 acres (139,671 hectares), according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

So, that's (356,134 acres) x (13 million tons of CO2 / 2.7 acres) = 1,714,719 MILLION tons of carbon dioxide liberated into the environment.

Hmmmm.....now that's 1.7 TRILLION tons of harmful carbon dioxides injected into our precious environment by the rubes in California, who claim to want to stop global warming, IN JUST THIS CALIFORNIA WEEK ALONE.

One thing for sure, California is incapable of managing it's forests, which are an international resource, and is HARMING the environment by dumping carbon into the atmosphere.

Barack Obama For Death Penalty. REALLY?

Newsflash: Democrat Barack Obama said Wednesday (6/25) he disagrees with the Supreme Court's decision outlawing executions of people who rape children, a crime he said states have the right to consider for capital punishment.

"I have said repeatedly that I think that the death penalty should be applied in very narrow circumstances for the most egregious of crimes," Obama said at a news conference. "I think that the rape of a small child, 6 or 8 years old, is a heinous crime and if a state makes a decision that under narrow, limited, well-defined circumstances the death penalty is at least potentially applicable, that that does not violate our Constitution."

My opinion:

So, the bleeding heart liberal Barack Obama has come out in favor of the death penalty. He says to have the state KILL prisoners for "the most egregious of crimes, " in this case, the rape of a child. Wow!! Who would have suspected that Obama is for the state to MURDER its prisoners. That is what we're talking about. Hell, I'm for it, but Obama, who would have known?

So, again, just ask yourself this question. Do you think that Obama would have been for the recent California execution of Tookie Williams? I'll bet he would have wanted the sack of crap murderer to be let off death row. You know he would have. Tookie was the darling of the liberal anti-death penalty cause. Even Joan Baez was singing at the prison the night Tookie bought the farm (for murdering a few innocent folks).

Obama is simply lying about being for the death penalty (because he's a liberal), or Obama is really, actually for the death penalty because ...... he's a Muslim. And, we all know about Sharia Law and how the Islamists love to saw off people's heads on TV. Obama did campaign in Kenya for his relatives whose party killed lots of Christians.

Face it. Obama's death penalty stance is so far to the Right of the country's Left that something is very wrong here. This means, if he's elected, that NO ONE will be able to know what crazy things that he's do. However, when he pardons his first Black man on death row, we'll know that it was all just a lie.

Supreme Court Says, "Annie, get your gun!"

The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting, the justices' first major pronouncement on gun rights in U.S. history.

The court's 5-4 ruling struck down the District of Columbia's 32-year-old ban on handguns as incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment. The decision went further than even the Bush administration wanted, but probably leaves most firearms laws intact.

What I say:

The whiny liberal government in Washington, D.C., has been controlled by real crackheads like Marion Barry and other nefarious characters for too long. The new message is: You criminals break into my home, and I will blow your head off. No citizen can count on the police to protect them, and the druggies in government WANT home break-ins so that the drug users can steal money for their drug habits!

So where does Mr. Bush, the sometime liberal and sometimes conservative president, fit in? Of course, Bush appointed constitutional conservatives to the court. If that Traitor John Kerry had been elected President (or the Gulfstream liberal Al "Oil for me only" Gore, for that matter), then the jackboot thugs in Washington, D.C., would be knocking on doors right now to pick up all guns just like the New Orleans police did DURING the Katrina aftermath.

Why did New Orleans police pick up the guns? Because the shithead thieves who stayed behind to loot the homeowners after the storm were getting shot by lawful citizens with their shotguns. For any liberal ingnorant shitheads, Louisiana has a law. Anyone breaking into a home can be killed (i.e., blown to smithereens) by the homeowner. Also, a driver is allowed to shoot and kill anyone trying to carjack him or her in Louisiana.

WASHINGTON - Mentally ill criminal defendants don't have the same constitutional rights as everyone else, the Supreme Court said Thursday in carving out an exception to the right to represent yourself.

The justices said that a mentally ill defendant can be judged competent to stand trial, yet incapable of acting as his own lawyer. The 7-2 decision said states can give a trial judge discretion to force someone to accept an attorney to represent him if the judge is concerned that the trial could turn into a farce.

McCain wants $300 million battery prize

Senator McCain wants to give a $300 million government prize for a better car battery. What a stupid idiot. How about a prize for curing cancer, keeping folks off welfare, etc? Why doesn't the liberal nut just let the market take care of itself? If a new battery would be economical, then the private capitalists will put up their own research dollars. Any battery invention would end up being make in China anyhow since its our own US government whose draconian OSHA and workplace rules make industrial production in the US not economical. Also, the new battery price is not going to be cheap. The capitalists, bless their profit motive hearts, will charge the highest price that the market will bear. If McCain thinks that anyone is going to fall for this political stunt, then he's a fool.
